This is my project for the semester. It's a mask that you can hang on the wall. I like the tongue. I don't like the back of it. I could improve the time spent on it. I guess that's it. Thanks.
What I learned this semester: I learned that I really suck at clay. Wheel throwing is not my best skill. I also learned that clay makes your hands very dry. Bring lotion to class always. My favorite project was the semester project. I liked the glazing part best. It was the least messy and it made my project pretty :') I especially liked mixing glaze. I don't know what I want to work with 2nd semester. I don't want to make jewelry. Especially not button rings. Maybe hemp rings. That'd be good. Sweet got 12 sentences. Nice!

Plate
This plate is a plate I made from wheel throwing. The glaze looks terrible. I like that it actually looks ok. I learned how to make a plate.

Coil Pot
I like the colors. It looks cool. I don't like how it looks terrible. I could improve the quality of it. I could've took more time on it, but then again, I had just gotten back from being in the hospital for like 2 weeks so I really didn't care.... It's pretty.

Vase, cup, and bowl
This is a vase I made out of clay. It's an orange/ red kind of color. Its weaknesses are that it is small so you can't really use it for much, it has some nicks a long the top and the bottom. Its strengths are that it's pretty evenly proportioned and the shape came out pretty even. I finally learned how to make a wheel thrown piece right. I could improve on the top and bottom of it.
The bowl is in the middle. It is red with black spots. Its weaknesses are that it has a very thick base and it's not really that big of a bowl. Its strengths are at least it can hold something right? I learned how to use dotting more with this. I could improve on the thickness....
The cup/ cylinder is on the right. It is black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow. It isn't that great of a cup. It can hold water and has no holes. I could improve on the thickness issue with the base again. I learned how to curve the top.

Clay Figures
I made two clay figures. One is a turtle because turtles are awesome and everyone knows that. The other one is a blog. I don't like the turtle because it was supposed to be a whistle but it doesn't work. I like the colors I chose for them.
Clay Pinch Pots
I made two clay pots from pinching them and such. I didn't really like making them because they're uneven and don't look very good. I like the colors I chose for them though.
Clay Tile
This is a clay tile that's supposed to represent me. It includes a music note because i like music. I could've added more glaze since it's not completely glazed. The end product still looked pretty sweet.

Semester Thing
I learned a ton this year. We did a bunch of projects. I didn't really like working with the magazines or clay because I'm not that good at it. I didn't like the magazine project or the wheel throwing one because I'm kind of terrible at it. I liked the master study because I got to make a g-awesome kid cudi table and the one where we got to go outside was pretty sweet. I liked to work with acrylic paint so I could mix and stuff. I don't think I'll really get anything from this class because I don't think I'll be making sculptures later in my life. I guess I will be involved in arts though since music is considered art. Also I make videos and put them on youtube because I'm just that cool. I'm probably going to continue taking art in high school and stuff. I really liked this class because we got to do some pretty sweet things. Oh and I didn't really like the jewelry thing because I'm not really into jewelry. I did give some of it to my mom sooo.... Yeah she liked it. I guess that's all.

Emily and Lizzy's nature sculptures
We learned that you can make a lot from nature.
we used bark, dandelions, and a tree
We thought it was fun because we got to walk around outside
Magazine Sculpture
I used magazine parts and canvas as the back. I made dinosaurs using magazine parts from an article about dinosaurs. I didn't like this project. I didn't know how to make it 3D. I liked how it turned out. Sort of.

Lightbulb and Wire sculpture
I used some wire, a clear light bulb, and a sharpie to paint it green. I wanted it to look like a frog, but the black marker wouldn't work :( I really didn't like this project because it wasn't that fun, but it took me like 15 minutes and it turned out alright! So A+ to that!
Master Study 3D
I made a nightstand with the top resembling "Whaam!" by Roy Lichtenstein. I used acrylic paint. The rest was dedicated to kid cudi because I really love that guy. I wish that I would've used tape to keep the paint from getting in the wrong places. It took like 2 weeks to paint. I really like how it turned out though. I think that's it.

Texture Picture
This is a texture picture that I painted. I used acrylic paint on a canvas an some texture on it from a screen like object. It's abstract. I liked it because I really like how it turned out. I don't like that we had to put texture on it, but it still turned out pretty cool. I learned that splatter painting can get all over the place.
Twisted Fairy Tale
This was a dice i made. It was twisted off of the cards in Alice in Wonderland. I used cardboard and paint. I liked it because it looked kind of cool. I didn't like it because it was uneven. I learned that cardboard isn't fun to work with.

Clay Wall Relief
This is a clay wall relief... made of clay... obviously... and it's supposed to look like the Kid Cudi album Man on the Moon... but kind of failed color wise. Strength(s): it is colorful, Kid Cudi... enough said, the textures are cool looking. Weakness(s): the colors kind of failed when they got mixed together, some of the parts didn't get glazed even though I glazed them like 420 times, and it is kind of ugly. I learned that ,sometimes mixing glazes can FAIL!! Badly....
Clay Mask
This is my clay mask that I made. It's a face sort of split in half representing that things aren't always what they seem I guess. I used clay and a plaster mold and glaze.... I guess the weakness is that I had like 20 minutes to glaze because we got one day to do it... and... let's just say there was a lot of... talking... for the first 20 minutes or so.... I like it because it turned out nicely... despite not having much time to do it.... I learned that sometimes molds make little holes in the masks when you're not looking....

End of the Semester
I guess during this semester I enjoyed most of the projects that we did. I learned about and got better at sculptures. I've never been in a 3D art class so I guess I learned quite a bit. I didn't really like some of the jewelry unit just because some of the stuff wasn't very fun to make. I kind of liked working with clay and the hemp stuff... But I didn't really like making the clay beads. I did learn that amber on beads can be really ugly.... I don't really know what else to say here, so I guess I'll ramble on for a few more sentences. I like art and it can be really fun. More clay might be fun to work with. It would make it better if it didn't have as many requirements on things like it having to be 9x9x3. I don't really care what else we could work with. It's kind of whatever to me. And now that's 12 sentences. So yeah.
